Athletics

BOYS VARSITY TENNIS
Varsity Tennis will play a home match against Tahquitz on Monday, March 10 at 3:15 p.m. They will then play at Murrieta Mesa on Tuesday, March 11 at 3:15 p.m. JV Tennis will play a home match against Murrieta Mesa on Tuesday, March 11 at 3:15 p.m.

BASEBALL
Varsity Baseball will play in the Citrus Hill tournament on Friday, March 7. The game will be played at Citrus Hill at 3:15 p.m. On Tuesday, March 11, they will continue to play in the Citrus Hill tournament, but the game will be at Norte Vista at 3:15 p.m. On Thursday, March 13, they will host Colony for a 3:15 p.m. game.

SOFTBALL
Varsity Softball will play in the Redlands Adventist Tournament in Redlands beginning on Monday, March 10 at 3:00 p.m. On Tuesday, March 11, they will continue to play in the Redlands Adventist Tournament, but game time/location is TBA. On Wednesday and Thursday, March 12-13, they will continue to play in the Redlands tournament; game times and location are TBA.

GOLF
Varsity Golf will play in a home match against Woodcrest Christian on Monday, March 10 at 3:00 p.m. Then on Wednesday, March 12 they will play an away match against Loma Linda at Oak Valley; match time is 3:30 p.m. On Thursday, March 13 they will play another home match against Elsinore at 3:00 p.m.

TRACK & FIELD
Track will be running in their first meet on Saturday, March 8 at 9:00 a.m. On Thursday, March 13 they will run in their first league meet at Aquinas; race time is 1:00 p.m.

TRACK FUNDRAISER

Please come to the 1st annual Linfield Fun Run! This LCHS Track & Field fundraiser will be held on the HS campus and is open to all ages; there are three specific runs/times, and prices range from $10-15. Check out this registration form for more information. Registration is open until the day of the event, but to get a T-shirt, please register by March 14. MS SOCCER TRYOUTS
March 10-12, 2014 3:15-5:15 p.m. MS Soccer Tryouts will be held next Monday-Wednesday from 3:15-5:15 p.m. on the MS Fields. Please bring a water bottle, shin guards, cleats, and work-out clothes. You will not need a ball. Contact Mr. Broussard if you have any questions.

UPCOMING BAND & CHOIR PERFORMANCES

March 7, 2014 @ 6:00 p.m. - ACSI Elementary Choral Festival: The Elementary Festival Choir will perform in the ACSI Elementary Choral Festival held at Calvary Murrieta Christian School. This festival features individual performances by several different Christian elementary school choirs, plus two numbers by all the combined choirs.

March 7-8, 2014 - HS Wind Ensemble Tour: Students will take a trip to the Masters College where they will meet the conductor for a performance and clinic, take a tour of the campus, and enjoy lunch in the cafeteria. They will then travel to LA to see the Los Angeles Metropolitan Opera perform "Die Fledermaus" followed by a day at Disneyland!

Thursday, March 13, 2014 @ 7:00 p.m. - Spring Festival Concert: Please come out and join us for this special concert which will feature the fantastic arrangements the MS Concert Band and HS Wind Ensemble have prepared for their annual tours. The concert will be held in the gym, and admission is free!

MS 24/7 PRAYER

March 7-14, 2014

Why a week of 24/7 Prayer? Because bold, persistent prayer is effective. First it changes us; then it changes the world. Jesus told us stories to encourage us to "cry out day and night" (Luke 18) and to be persistent in prayer. Evidence of the instruction and power of persistent prayer is found throughout the Bible and Church history.

We encourage everyone to sign up for one or more hours of prayer during the MS Prayer event. The schedule is broken up by days. Select your day, pick an hour, and sign-up. Don't forget to put it on your calendar and pray. Our Prayer room is available to you to use if you sign up during school hours. Click here to sign up.

The 8th grade class is excited to announce the upcoming prayer event, Just Pray. Each year the 8th grade class creates, coordinates, and runs a prayer room which encourages us to encounter the Lord in new and creative ways. Students have been working for weeks on activities to create an environment for prayer and worship, and we will kick-off the event with a week of 24/7 (168 continuous hours) prayer. We hope you will take the opportunity to be involved! Here are just some of the ways in which you can support this event:

Boojum Trip

Location: Joshua Tree National Park

Cost: $260.00

Everyone who will be attending the program must also complete and submit the Boojum release form prior to the program. Permission slips and release forms are due by March 14 and all payments are due by April 4.

Medieval Times Trip

Thursday, March 20

AP EXAM SIGN-UPS

Deadline: March 14, 2014 It is time to place orders for AP exams! Students are required to take the exams for the AP courses in which they are enrolled, and depending on the scores they receive, they may earn college credit for those courses. The cost for each exam is $89.00. Please download the AP Exam Form 2014 and submit it to the Counseling Office with payment. Acceptable forms of payment are cash, check, or credit card. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask your student's AP teacher or the HS Counseling Office.

Spring Tea April 25, 2014

The countdown to graduation begins with the Spring Tea! This springtime celebration is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our seniors and their mothers. The senior ladies will be presented with special flowers from the junior girls, symbolizing an important or memorable quality they wish to share, and ALL of the seniors (girls and guys) will be spotlighted on center stage. MARCH STUDENT OF THE MONTH
Congratulations to Caden Wakefield for being selected as the March 2014 High School Student of the Month! The Temecula Chamber of Commerce, city officials, and local sponsors support this event hosted by Sizzler Restaurant. The breakfast is even televised via tape delay through the local cable TV channel.
