PRIORITY RE-ENROLLMENT STARTS MARCH 1!
 You will be sent a link via e-mail on March 1 to complete your registration online through the new MyBackpack (MBP) system.

Each registration submitted by the March 15, 2014 priority deadline earns an entry into a drawing to win a Re-enrollment Registration Fee! The drawing will be held March 16, 2014; three prizes will be awarded.

  Not redeemable for cash ● Limited to one per family ● Value $275 ● Prize is non-transferable

Please join us on March 6 for Linfield's 2014 Open House event! The Elementary School will host their Open House from 5-7 p.m., and the Middle and High School campuses will have their Open House from 6-8 p.m.

BOYS VARSITY TENNIS

Tennis Ball

Varsity Boys Tennis will host a match against Great Oak at 3:15 p.m. on Friday, February 28. Then on Wednesday, March 5 they will play a match at Elsinore at 3:15 p.m., and on Thursday, March 6 they will play an away match at TVHS, also at 3:15 p.m. The JV Boys Tennis team will play a match at Great Oak at 3:15 p.m. on Friday, February 28. Then on Wednesday, March 5 they will play at home against Elsinore at 3:15 p.m., and on Thursday, March 6 they will play at home against TVHS at 3:15 p.m.
BASEBALL

BaseballVarsity Baseball will play a home game against Temecula Prep on Monday, March 3 at 3:15 p.m. while JV Baseball will play an away game at Lakeside on Friday, February 28 at 3:15 p.m. 

GOLF

Golf EquipmentVarsity Golf will play in their first match of the season on Tuesday, March 4 against Elsinore at 3:00 p.m. On Wednesday, March 5 they will host TVHS at home at 3:00 p.m. Then on Thursday, March 6 they will play at home against Calvary at 2:40 p.m.

 

TRACK & FIELD

Track NumbersThe first Track meet of the season is this Saturday, March 1 at Vista Murrieta. The meet will begin at 8:00 a.m.

 

TRACK FUNDRAISER

March 22, 2014

Please come to the 1st annual Linfield Fun Run! This LCHS Track & Field fundraiser will be held on the HS campus and is open to all ages; there are three specific runs/times, and prices range from $10-15. Check out this registration form for more information. Registration is open until the day of the event, but to get a T-shirt, please register by March 14. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Amber Young. Thank you for your support!

UPCOMING BAND & CHOIR PERFORMANCES
Choir-Music
February 28, 2014: ACSI MS and Honor Bands - Five MS Band students and four HS students were chosen by audition to participate in the ACSI MS and HS Honor Bands; this consists of a day and a half of intense group rehearsal and an afternoon of bowling, and it culminates in a free concert for parents and friends at Lakewood Christian School.

March 1, 2014 - Vanguard Jazz Festival: The MS and HS Jazz Bands will travel to Vanguard University where they will perform for adjudication, receive a personalized clinic, and attend additional rhythm and improvisation clinics by nationally recognized professional Christian musicians. Students will also have the opportunity to audition for the Jazz Honor Band and perform that evening along with the top two HS jazz bands of the day and the Vanguard University Jazz Band.

News and Events
ES MATH & SCIENCE NIGHT
Please plan now to attend our Family Math-Science Night tomorrow night, Friday, February 28 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the high school gym. The theme this year is "Discover, Observe, and Explore," and our students will have an opportunity to explore and experiment by dissecting squid, owl pellets and earthworms, and by using higher level thinking skills to create solutions to many other hands-on math and science related projects. The Children's Museum, the Alpaca Hacienda, the Western Science Museum, and the Santa Rosa Plateau will all have tables with activities and information as well. Liz Pledger, our Math-Science Night coordinator, has planned activities for budding scientists and mathematicians of every age! Come prepared to have a great time exploring!

MS PRAYER ROOM

March 6-28, 2014  

The 8th grade class is excited to announce the upcoming prayer event, Just Pray. Each year the 8th grade class creates, coordinates, and runs a prayer room which encourages us to encounter the Lord in new and creative ways. Students have been working for weeks on activities to create an environment for prayer and worship, and we will kick-off the event with a week of 24/7 (168 continuous hours) prayer. We hope you will take the opportunity to be involved! Here are just some of the ways in which you can support this event:

  • Volunteer to supervise the Prayer Room (parents). Click here.
  • Sign-up for an hour or more of 24/7 prayer between March 7-14. Click here.
  • Buy a Spirit Wear shirt ($10) with the Just Pray theme. All proceeds go to support the cost of this project, and shirts will be sold at Open House and during nutrition break & lunch.

AP EXAM SIGN-UPS

Deadline: March 14, 2014 AP Exams Sign Up NowIt is time to place orders for AP exams! Students are required to take the exams for the AP courses in which they are enrolled, and depending on the scores they receive, they may earn college credit for those courses. The cost for each exam is $89.00. Please download the AP Exam Form 2014 and submit it to the Counseling Office with payment. Acceptable forms of payment are cash, check, or credit card. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask your student's AP teacher or the HS Counseling Office.  

SADIE HAWKINS DANCE

March 1, 2014    7-10 p.m.
Sadie Hawkins is the one dance of the year in which high school girls ask the guy of their choice, so grab your friends and your costumes and head to the gym for a night of dancing and merriment! Tickets can be purchased every day at lunch ($25 for couples; $15 for a single ticket). 

CANDOR FUNDRAISER

Chick Fil AMarch 13, 2014  5:00-8:00 p.m.

Please join us at the Murrieta Chick-Fil-A on Thursday, March 13 for a special Candor fundraiser! Simply present this flyer to the cashier when you purchase your food, and Chick-Fil-A will make a donation to our ministry based on the evening's sales. SPRING TEA

Spring TeaApril 25, 2014

The countdown to graduation begins with the Spring Tea! This springtime celebration is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our seniors and their mothers. The senior ladies will be presented with special flowers from the junior girls, symbolizing an important or memorable quality they wish to share, and ALL of the seniors (girls and guys) will be spotlighted on center stage. Click here for RSVP and ticket information.

FEBRUARY STUDENT OF THE MONTH

Congratulations to Madie Pledger for being selected as the February 2014 High School Student of the Month! The Temecula Chamber of Commerce, city officials, and local sponsors support this event hosted by Sizzler Restaurant. The breakfast is even televised via tape delay through the local cable TV channel.
