BASKETBALL

Girls Basketball

The Varsity Girls will travel to Guajome Park Academy to play in the Tri-City Tournament beginning on Thursday, December 26 at 11:00 a.m.

Varsity Boys Basketball

The Varsity Boys will host the Caged Classic Tournament beginning on Thursday, December 26. Game time is still TBA.

BEST SEATS IN THE HOUSE

The best seats in the gym at every Linfield Basketball home game can be yours for only $1.00! Enter the raffle before each game, and you could win seats on the couch (in addition to a snack bar voucher). Tickets will be sold in the Athletic Office and before all JV and Varsity Basketball games (separate raffles for JV Boys, Varsity Girls, and Varsity Boys), and the winner will be announced five minutes before each game. He/she must be present at the time of the drawing to win.

MS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS

MS Girls Basketball

Tryouts will be held at the MS outdoor courts on Tuesday, January 7, Wednesday, January 8, and Thursday, January 9 from 3:15-5:15 p.m. Softball players only need to attend the January 9 tryout. Players should bring athletic attire and a water bottle; basketballs are not needed. If you have any questions, please e-mail Jim Wade.

MS Boys Basketball

Tryouts will be held at the HS outdoor courts on Tuesday, January 7, Wednesday, January 8, and Thursday, January 9 from 3:15-5:15 p.m. Baseball players only need to attend the January 9 tryout. ES CHEER CAMP

January 7-9, 2014 2:45-4:15 p.m.

The elementary school girls will have the opportunity to have fun and learn from high school cheerleaders and coaches during the ES cheer camp from January 7-9. Camp sessions will be held on the ES playfield from 2:45-4:15 p.m. each day, and the week will culminate with half-time performances at the home basketball games on Friday, January 10. MEXICO HOUSE BUILD TRIP

We had an incredible response and sign-up for the Mexico House Build Trip scheduled for April 11-15, 2014! Our initial plan was to take 45 students, but after only a week we had over 70 students turn in signed permission slips and their $100 deposits! It has been awesome to see our students so excited about missions and the opportunity to serve! In response to these numbers, we have secured a larger lodging facility and are now able to take all of the students who have signed up. Praise God! With the increased numbers, we are now also committed to building TWO HOUSES!!! Our fundraising efforts are off to great start, but we could still use your help. If you are interested in finding out more about our trip and fundraising, please contact Amber Young at ayoung@linfield.com.

DRIVER'S EDUCATION
January 2-4, 2014 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Linfield will be hosting a Driver's Education course over Christmas vacation for all interested students. The class will meet in MS Room 319, and the cost is $75. Please sign up at Mrs. Guthrie's desk, and if you have any questions, contact Mr. Ackerman at backerman@linfield.com.

DECEMBER STUDENT OF THE MONTH
Congratulations to Katie Kostecka for being selected as the December 2013 High School Student of the Month! The Temecula Chamber of Commerce, city officials, and local sponsors support this event hosted by Sizzler Restaurant.
