GOLF TOURNAMENT
We are excited to invite you to be a part of Linfield's 14th Annual Golf Tournament! This tournament, held in support of Linfield Athletics, will take place on Thursday, November 14 at Journey at Pechanga Golf Course. Participants will enjoy a day filled with hole-in-one, putting, longest drive, and closest to the pin contests, and they will be provided with a continental breakfast, lunch, hors d'oeuvres, and entrance to an awards reception.There are also many volunteer and sponsorship opportunities available. CAMPUS PREVIEW

At Linfield we seek to partner with parents to write extraordinary stories of courage and faith into the lives of our students, and we invite you to share these stories with your friends and family in the community.

 

Please help us spread the word about our next Campus Preview on Sunday, November 17 at 2:00 p.m. Tell someone or bring someone! All attendees will meet real students and hear their stories; they will be able to speak with teachers and administrators, and they will take a student-guided tour of Linfield's picturesque 105 acre campus. PARENT CONFERENCES
ES Back to School InfoThe first quarter of the 2013-2014 school year officially ends tomorrow, October 25, and Linfield specifically sets aside time at this point in the year for teachers and parents to get together to talk about students' progress, successes, and potential struggles. Click here for specific campus information, available times, and instructions for scheduling conferences with your child's teacher.
 
HS Parents: Please remember that it is important to monitor your student's absences for each class, as they are cumulative per semester. The limit per class is nine. Also, please encourage students to turn in community service hours as they are completed (20 required each year), and make sure your student's NetClassroom is set on Semester 1 in order to ensure that you are looking at the correct grades and assignments.
SCRIP PURCHASES
Scrip CardsChristmas is just two months away, and it's never too early to start planning for the shopping and gift-giving season! In order to ensure that you will be able to get the scrip cards you want to use for post-Thanksgiving shopping, please order before November 17. To ensure delivery of scrip before Christmas break, please order by December 15. Don't forget that you can order online here.
 
Business Office Reminder:
The Business Office would like to remind you that statements will not be mailed out this year. Please log on to your TADS account to check parent participation and scrip balances. Remember that all parent participation and scrip purchases must be completed prior to May 13, 2014.

Fine Arts
DECOUPAGE: CELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF MUSICALS

The last 10 years have been a whirlwind of artistic activity for our performing arts program. To celebrate and take a trip down memory lane, please join us for Decoupage! Our current students will perform some of the most memorable songs from the last 10 years of Linfield musicals and give a bit of history as to what brought us to this point. All performances will be held in the Linfield Black Box Theater

Matinee - November 2, 3, 9, & 10 at 2:00 p.m.
Evening - November 1, 2, 3, 7, 9 & 10 at 7:00 p.m.

Athletics
FOOTBALL

Football Helmet

The Varsity Football team will travel to the University of Redlands to play a game against Arrowhead Christian tomorrow, October 25, at 7:30 p.m. Next Thursday (October 31) the JV football team will play away against Ontario Christian at 4:00 p.m.

VOLLEYBALL

Volleyball

On Tuesday, October 29, JV and Varsity Volleyball will travel to Ontario Christian; JV plays at 5:00 p.m., and Varsity plays at 6:00 p.m. On Thursday, October 31, both teams will host Calvary for the annual "PINK" game!  Again, the JV game is at 5:00, and the Varsity game is at 6:00. 

 

VARSITY GIRLS TENNIS

Tennis BallVarsity Tennis League Finals will begin on Saturday, October 26 at Aquinas at 9:00 a.m. On Tuesday, October 29, League Finals will continue at Aquinas at 3:15 p.m.

HS SOCCER TRYOUTS
Soccer BallBoys Soccer: Tryouts will be held on Tuesday and Thursday, November 5 and 7 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on the Middle School field. The last day of tryouts is Saturday, November 9 from 8:00-10:00 a.m. on Fox Field.
  

Girls Soccer: Tryouts will be held on Wednesday and Friday, November 6 and 8 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on the Middle School field. The last day of tryouts is Tuesday, November 12 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on the MS field.

MIDNIGHT MADNESS

Midnight Madness 11-12Friday, November 8   10:30 p.m.-12:00 a.m.
Linfield's Midnight Madness event kicks off the basketball season and will take place in the high school gym directly following the home Varsity Football game on Friday, November 8. So after the football game ends, make sure to head over to the gym to join the madness, watching the Linfield faculty take on the varsity girls and boys basketball players in a highly competitive game. There will also be free pizza, soda, and water, a half-court shot contest (for a $200 cash prize), a special Legion ceremony, and a vintage apparel sale. We'll see you there!

VETERAN'S DAY ASSEMBLY

ES FALL BOOK FAIR
November 4-8, 2013
All Elementary School students and their families are invited to the Fall 2013 Scholastic Book Fair from November 4-8. The theme this year is Reading Oasis: A Cool Place to Discover Hot Books, and it will take students on a journey back to ancient Egypt to an oasis overflowing with fun, engaging, and affordable books they will want to read. MS FOOD DRESS-UP DAY

Friday, October 25

MS Students: please join your class by wearing your favorite food dress-up attire on October 25. Modesty and wardrobe policies still apply, and spirit points will be awarded for class participation. Spending money on elaborate costumes is not going to earn additional points, but creativity will!

OCTOBER STUDENT OF THE MONTH

Grace Walker was selected as the October 2013 High School Student of the Month. The Temecula Chamber of Commerce, city officials, and local sponsors support this event hosted by Sizzler Restaurant. The breakfast is even televised via tape delay through the local cable TV channel.
