SEN. SANTORUM VISIT
Linfield's seniors were blessed yesterday with the tremendous privilege of a visit from former PA Senator and Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum! The senator is currently in Southern CA promoting a film he helped produce with Echolight Studios called The Christmas Candle, and he spoke to students about the need to be proactive in spreading the love, hope, and Truth of Christ in our culture. In particular, he shared his passion for supporting filmmakers within the faith community so that they can make a positive impact and be a light in the darkness.
Senior Katie Kostecka reflected: "I absolutely loved how real he was. He is proud of what he stands for and isn't ashamed of his beliefs. It's amazing how true his points were, especially about the influence media has on societal opinion, and I am so encouraged about the change he hopes to make through these movies!" We are offering a mock SAT/ACT Combo test on Saturday, October 5. This test will provide students with valuable experience in a testing environment, and it will give them an indication of how they might score on the SAT and ACT. We recommend that ALL juniors take this test because we can use the scores to come up with individual testing timelines and to determine how much preparation (if any) your student will require. The cost is $20 per student, and sign-up forms are available in the counseling office.
