BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHTS

Back to SchoolSave the dates! Back to School Nights provide a wonderful opportunity to meet your student's teachers and see their classrooms.  

  
Elementary School - Thursday, September 5
Please meet on the Chapel Patio at 7:00 p.m. for teacher introductions before going to classrooms. In order to allow parents with more than one child to attend both classes' orientations, there will be two sessions. The first session is from 7:15-7:45 p.m., and the second one is from 7:45-8:15 p.m. 
  
Middle School - Thursday, September 12   
MS Back to School Night will be held form 6:30-8:30 p.m. Additional details will be available soon.
  
High School - Thursday, September 19
HS Back To School Night will take place from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Please join us in the gym for a brief introductory session with helpful high school tips before you walk through your student's schedule and meet their teachers

MOMS IN PRAYER

It's time for moms to gather and pray for our kids and our school! Please join us as we start this year's Moms in Prayer groups. High School Moms: meet in the Little Chapel on Wednesday, September 4 at 8:00 a.m. Middle School Moms: meet on the MS campus on Thursday, September 12 at 8:00 a.m. Elementary School Moms: meet after the flag assembly in Room 105 on Monday, September 9. FOOTBALL

Football HelmetVarsity Football will play their first home game tomorrow, August 30 at 7:30 p.m. Bring your family, grab a bite to eat at the cafe, and come support our Lions as they kick off the season! JV Football will travel to Heritage Christian on Saturday, August 31 for a game at 10:00 a.m.

VOLLEYBALL

VolleyballThe Varsity and JV Volleyball teams will play away matches at Lakeside on Thursday, September 5. JV plays at 5:00 p.m., and Varsity plays at 6:00 p.m. 

 

VARSITY GIRLS TENNIS

Tennis BallVarsity Girls' Tennis has a home match on Tuesday, September 3 against Great Oak High School at 3:15 p.m. Then they will host a match against Chaparral on Thursday, September 5 at 3:15 p.m.

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM

September 26-29, 2013

Don't miss out on the opportunity to fall under the spell of William Shakespeare's most joyful and popular comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream. This presentation, a collaboration between Linfield Theater Arts and CYT Riverside County, unfolds in an enchanted forest where fairies play tricks on unsuspecting lovers and bumbling actors are transformed beyond their wildest dreams. With magic potions, humor, music, and spectacle, anything can and does happen.

 

Performances:

Thursday, September 26 at 7:00 p.m.

Friday, September 27 at 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, September 28 at 2:00 & 7:00 p.m.

Sunday, September 29 at 2:00 & 7:00 p.m.

 

All performances will take place in Linfield's Black Box Theater. Ticket prices are as follows: $15 - Reserved; $10 - Adults: $8 - Students. Seating is limited, so please order now at www.cytriverside.org.

ES BAND

FluteWe are excited about the elementary band program! Our instructors, Doug and Angie Knechtel, come with more than 30 years of experience in instrumental instruction and are looking forward to another excellent year of music at Linfield! If you are interested in participating in one of our award-winning ensembles, please see this attached flyer for information and return the registration form by Friday, September 6. 3RD ANNUAL MS LION PRIDE WALK

pride walkSeptember 3, 2013    2:40 p.m.

The Lion Pride Walk is an annual tradition at the Middle School. Before every season opener, the football team and cheerleaders lead a parade from the Middle School locker room to the football field, and we invite you to make a sign, bring your lion spirit, and join students, faculty, and parents as we walk with pride to salute the 2013-2014 Tackle Football and Cheer programs! The parade starts at 2:40, and the football game (vs Tri-City Middle School) will begin at 3:30 p.m.

 

Note: The snack bar will also be open, and all MS students will be released from the HS football field at 2:55 p.m. Please be prepared to pick up your child at that time.

Jamba JuiceMS Jamba Juice is back! Jamba Juice will be selling 16 oz. smoothies for $3.00 during lunch on Wednesdays again this year, and a portion of every sale will benefit the MS Outreach Program. Thank you for helping to support this ministry!

HS BACK TO SCHOOL LUAU
Luau and DanceAugust 30, 2013   9:30-11:30 p.m. 

Join us in the gym for food, dancing, and fun at the Back to School Luau immediately following the first home Varsity Football game tomorrow night. Tickets are only $8 for standard admission and $5 for Varsity Football players. Freshmen/new students: if you attend with your Link leader, you only have to pay $5! See you there!
