FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!
 The 2013-2014 school year officially begins for 1st-12th grade on Tuesday, August 27. We can't wait to see you! For calendars, schedules, and other relevant information, please visit the Resources page on the Linfield website.
Prayer at the Cross: Parents and friends are invited to the Linfield Administration lawn on the first day at 8:05 a.m. for a brief 15 minute time of prayer. We will gather around the cross to lift up our school, students, families, and the new school year to the Lord. We look forward to seeing you there!

HS & MS SUMMER ASSIGNMENTS
HIGH SCHOOL Most Linfield Christian High School AP Classes (as well as every level of English class) have required assignments which are to be completed during the summer break. Click here for all summer assignments. MIDDLE SCHOOL Incoming 6-8 grade students have required summer reading associated with their English courses for the fall. These books have been selected by English Department instructors to foster continued reading during summer break. Click here for all summer assignments. |

MAKE-UP REGISTRATION
High School
Friday, August 23
10:00-12:00 p.m.
Come to the HS office tomorrow
between 10:00 am.-12:00 p.m. to complete your registration for the 2013-2014 school year. This will be the final opportunity before school starts!
Middle School
Friday, August 23
1:00-3:00 p.m.
Come to the MS office tomorrow between 1:00-3:00 p.m. to complete your registration for the 2013-2014 school year. 7th grade students must turn a copy of their Tdap booster shot to Becky Swanson in the Admissions Office before registering.

TDAP BOOSTER SHOT

Students entering 7th grade in the 2013-2014 school year will be required to show proof of a Tdap booster shot to complete enrollment.
- A Tdap, DTaP or DTP will be acceptable proof of current vaccine as long as it was received on or after the child's 7th birthday.

It is NOT too late to join the High School Cross Country, Football, Volleyball, or Girls Tennis teams. If you are interested in participating in these sports, please contact the High School Athletic Office for practice times and details.

Football
The Varsity Football team will play their first scrimmage at home tomorrow, Friday, August 23, at 4:00 p.m. against Saddleback and Yucca Valley. Then the first Varsity home game will be on Friday, August 30 at 7:30 p.m. Bring your family, grab a bite to eat at the Lions' cafe, and come support our Lions as they kick off the season! JV Football will travel to Heritage Christian on Saturday, August 31 for a game at 10:00 a.m.
Cross Country
The cross country team practices from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays until school starts.
Volleyball
JV Volleyball currently practices Monday-Thursday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Varsity Volleyball practices Monday-Thursday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Both teams do the fit course on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00-5:30 p.m.

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM |
September 26-29, 2013
Don't miss out on the opportunity to fall under the spell of William Shakespeare's most joyful and popular comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream. This presentation, a collaboration between Linfield Theater Arts and CYT Riverside County, unfolds in an enchanted forest where fairies play tricks on unsuspecting lovers and bumbling actors are transformed beyond their wildest dreams. With magic potions, humor, music, and spectacle, anything can and does happen.

MS Jamba Juice is back! Jamba Juice will be selling 16 oz. smoothies for $3.00 during lunch on Wednesdays again this year, and a portion of every sale will benefit the MS Outreach Program. Thank you for helping to support this ministry!

Linfield has teamed with ESCO to make purchasing high school consumable workbooks, lab manuals, and AP Textbooks easy and convenient.
Please visit the online bookstore (the link is also available on Linfield.com's Resources page) and see a list of workbooks, textbooks, and novels that are required for your high school courses. Items purchased from ESCO will be shipped directly to your home.
Course consumables will no longer be sold at school, and we have made all AP materials available in one convenient location. Contact Mrs. McGraw for more information. |

HS PICTURE DAY

High School pictures will be taken by Lifetouch on the first day of school, Tuesday, August 27. Students are required to wear their uniforms, and there will be a variety of backgrounds from which to choose. If you wish to purchase pictures, please have a completed order form with payment on picture day (order forms were handed out at registration). Even if you choose not to purchase pictures, students are still required to have their pictures taken at this time for the yearbook and their student ID cards (senior pictures are for student ID cards only).
Seniors: Senior Portraits have NOT been taken yet, but we will notify you with the scheduled dates as soon as we have confirmation. Packets will be sent out soon.

HS BACK TO SCHOOL LUAU

Join us in the gym for food, dancing, and fun at the Back to School Luau immediately following the first home Varsity Football game. Tickets are only $8 for standard admission and $5 for Varsity Football players. Freshmen/new students: if you attend with your Link leader, you only have to pay $5! See you there!
