Note from the Principal...
Dear High School Parents,
I trust you are enjoying summer vacation and time together as families. I am looking forward to the return of the student body. Though we are quite busy preparing for the new school year, the students' presence on the campus is truly missed. I am grateful to have this opportunity to partner with you in your student's education.
Last year was a wonderful year and I am looking forward to 2013-2014 and all that the Lord has for us. Our first day of school will be Tuesday, August 27, 2013. Please remember this is before the Labor Day holiday! I wanted to bring some other important dates and information to your attention. Get out your calendars!

If you are new to Linfield Christian High School and have not had the opportunity to meet with one of our counselors to select your classes, please call our Counseling Office at ext. 1354 to schedule an appointment. |

Student Registration

Below you will find the scheduled dates for your student to pick up: class schedule, textbooks, obtain locker assignments, pay for class and/or lab fees, and purchase P.E. clothes. Registration will take place in the HS building.
· Seniors Tuesday, August 13 9:00am- 1:00 pm
· Juniors Wednesday, August 14 9:00am - 1:00 pm
· Sophomores Thursday, August 15 9:00am - 1:00 pm
· Freshmen Friday, August 16 9:00am - 1:00 pm
Due to the limited time before school starts, please make every effort to make your registration appointment. If necessary you may have someone else register for you. Student supply lists will be distributed by each individual teacher during the first week of school. If you have multiple high school students you may register them at the same time, please contact the high school office ahead of time to make special arrangements. Course consumables and AP textbooks are only available for sale by ESCO Online. Please visit the ESCO online bookstore to purchase these appropriate items for your student.

HS Picture Day

Underclassmen
School pictures will be taken by Lifetouch on the first day of school, Tuesday, August 27, 2013. If you wish to purchase pictures, students must have a completed order form with payment on picture day (order forms will be handed out at registration). If you choose not to purchase pictures, students are still required to have their picture taken at this time for the yearbook and their student ID cards. Students are required to wear their uniforms. All seniors will have pictures taken for their student ID only.
Seniors
All seniors will have pictures taken the first day of school for their student ID only. Seniors should have already received a packet from our official senior portrait photographer, Lifetouch Prestige Portraits. ONLY portraits from Lifetouch Prestige Portraits Studio will be used in the yearbook. If you have any questions, please contact Lifetouch Prestige Portraits at (951) 520-4740 or (800) 682-7600.

Freshman and New Student Orientation
Friday, August 16, 2013
6:00 - 10:00 pm in the Gym
The purpose of this orientation is to make the transition from middle school to high school a positive one. Students who are new to Linfield are also encouraged to come! Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores will be serving as leaders and mentors to the freshman and new students. Large and small group activities are designed to address students' needs and concerns in a fun-filled environment! Not to mention FOOD! Students wear comfortable clothes and don't bring all your stuff travel light! Postcards have been sent out in the mail!

Freshman/New Parent Meeting

There is a special meeting on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 6:15pm at the Administration Prayer Garden. Don't miss this opportunity to hear from several freshman teachers, as well as administrators. They will be sharing information that will include what to expect this next school year, and how we can partner together to make this first year of high school successful!

Report Card/Netclassroom/ Class Schedules

If you have not received your student's 2012-2013 report card or are not able to access their netclassroom there may be a hold due to the business office account, Christian service hours not being met or an incomplete check out. Please contact the HS office immediately at ext. 3300 to resolve this issue. Students with holds will not be able to participate in Registration until the account has been cleared.

Summer Assignments | |
All English classes have summer work as well as many AP classes. Please check our website for a listing of Summer class work and the deadlines.

Website Updates | |
Please check our website often for updates and changes. The Parent Student Handbook is currently being updated for the upcoming school year and will be up on our website soon, under the Academics heading then High School. Please take the time to read the entire handbook as it applies to the day to day policies. Each year we review the existing Calendar, Policies and Schedule in order to improve the educational experience at Linfield Christian High School.

HS Fall Sports | |
Current information for High School Fall Sports Programs is listed on our website. In order to participate, you must be registered as a Linfield high school student, completed the Athletic Participation Packet and sports physical, and paid any of the necessary fees. If you have any additional questions, please contact Christie Maranville in the Athletic Office at ext. 2267. |
