2015 Poet Laureate of Texas visiting Paschal! Paschal is one of 20 schools chosen across the state for this great honor. "Paschal High School has been selected as a Planting Poet Trees School. While our selection committee received many applications, they felt your school stood head and shoulders above others in its desire to introduce its students to the power of poetry. It is my great pleasure to share this program with you and your students, and to leave seeds of inspiration and excitement about writing in your entire school environment. My sincere hope is that planting these small seeds today will grow a beautiful forest of masterful creative writers all over Texas for years to come. In addition to a set of books being donated to your library, I will also personally visit your campus to give a motivational speech/poetry reading and a creative writing workshop."

 Sponsors needed for PIP Talks
Paschal is excited to announce the return of PIP TALKS. This program is conducted in partnership with TCU and allows students to present research on a topic of their choosing. Last year over 300 students participated, resulting in 150 presentations. Students have gone on to present at university academic conferences as well as use their research for scholarship proposals. We are currently looking for individual and corporate sponsors to provide awards and scholarships for the participants and the winning presentations. If you are interested in partnering with us please contact Kristen Browning at Kristen.Browning@fwisd.org.
|
Parents, grandparents, educators, students, neighbors and community leaders are all essential members of the Paschal family. Together, through PTA, we provide support for our school, and also a powerful and effective voice for all children in our community. Thank you to all of our current members!
