A Message from

PTA President Dennis Johnson

Greetings,

Just 3 things this week:

1. A Theatre Rep is needed for the PTA Board .  What a great opportunity for a Theatre (or other) parent to get involved with the PTA.  Let me know at DennisJohnsonhome@sbcglobal.net if you are interested.

2.  Over 450 and counting!  That's the number of registered PTA members so far this year, well above last year and well on the way to our goal of 500.  Don't sit on the sidelines, join the PTA for as little as $7 by clicking here.

3.  Write a Check (Now!).  While we have been pleased with the response so far to the PTA's primary fundraiser this year, we need more broad based support.  Keep in mind that WAC is taking the place of the traditional Paschal Auction this year, so please be generous in your contributions.  Don't let needed items and programs for our children and our school not happen - it's as easy as writing a check.  Click here for the form.
Write a Check (WAC) Campaign

The Write A Check campaign (WAC) is in full swing and we are almost half-way to our goal! Please contribute TODAY to help us reach our final goal of $40,000 before Oct. 18! We are NOT having an auction this year and this money will replace the money usually raised at the auction that funds our PTA. You can donate online by clicking here or donate by mail by clicking here for the printable form to include with your check.

Counselors' Corner

The counselors are in the lunch room every Wednesday and Friday to talk to students about topics such as Goal Setting, Life Skills and Problem Solving, Career Planning and Decision Making. October's theme is Time and Self-Management for Educational Achievement.

At Paschal, students can come to the Go Center in room 251 to plan their futures. They can:
  • Explore careers and take a career interest assessment
  • Research and apply for scholarships
  • Register for the SAT and ACT tests
  • Complete financial aid forms
  • Investigate and explore colleges
  • Fill out college applications
The Go Center is open to all students Monday-Friday during 1st through 7th periods.  They can make an appointment for a one-on-one discussion with Ms. Kristy Borneman, the Go Center's College Advisor devoted to helping students plan their futures beyond high school. On the day of the appointment, they will receive a pass, typically during 1st or 2nd period.
