A Message from PTA President Dennis Johnson
Greetings, how did we get to Fifth week of school already... Last time, I had 5 items for you to focus on, this time I will save you time as I am down to 4.
1. Interact with Principal Mossige
This is a repeat item and with good reason, we had a great turnout for our first coffee with Terri! So the PTA will sponsor another coffee on Friday November 1st at 8:45 a.m. in the cafeteria before our PTA Board Meeting. Here's the deal, you keep coming and we will keep having these coffees. So mark your calendar and see you then!
2. Join the PTA
Another repeat item, I guess it is just my nature to focus on a few important things. In short, what we need is more membership to increase our influence. Thus far this year, it has been a good news/not so good news story. The good news (great really) is that our membership is up to 300 which is 25% above last year! Yet, that is still 20% under where we were just 2 years ago. I see that as a glass half full, that shows we can still increase our membership much more. For a school of our size, we should be shooting for at least 500 members. Please help us get there for as little as $7 in dues, by clicking on this link to our membership form.
3. Open PTA Board Positions-Choir and Theatre Reps
We have a great opportunity for a Choir parent, as well as a Theatre parent to join the Board as the PTA's liaison with those respective groups. Please let me know if interested at DennisJohnsonhome@sbcglobal.net
4. Auction-Save the date
Saturday February 1st at the
. This is PTA's largest fundraiser, please plan on attending and supporting our children and our school.
Until next month, let's see if I can be down to 3 items then...

Important Information Regarding Graduation
Due to the construction at Texas Christian University, Daniel Meyers Coliseum will not be available for at least two years.
Therefore, FWISD has altered graduation schedules and locations.
Graduation for Paschal will be held:
FWISD researched many venues, however Verizon Theatre was the largest venue within our immediate area that was available.
FWISD is currently in the process for selecting sites for the 2015 graduation, however many venues are already unavailable.
FWISD is confident that Verizon Theatre will facilitate an exceptional graduation experience.

Cross Country
Girls Varsity Cross Country team continues their winning streak!! The girls varsity team placed 1st in Paschal High School's very own Fort Worth Invitational that was held last Saturday morning in Trinity Park. They were victorious over Fort Worth powerhouses such as Aledo HS and Fort Worth Country Day! The boys varsity and both the girls and boys JV teams made some of the strongest showings of the season. In addition, the McLean Middle School team placed 1st in the Middle School division! A huge thank you to the many parent volunteers who made the FW Invitational possible! |
Coach Couts in Hall of Fame
Paschal's own, Coach Couts, has been named to the Hall of Fame in Baylor. Below are two great articles that mention his prestigious Hall of Fame Entry.
Congratulations
