KUDOS to our Kids!
Paschal Art Department Wins Big at Region!! Art students took top awards at the Region Event held in Arlington recently. Students not only had to write about their work but they also had a one-on-one interview with a judge about their piece. Half of their score was the interview, the other half the artwork. We had 122 students that entered; 117 of them got perfect scores. 10% of the top scores are chosen for state. These nine students are advancing to state in April: Liliana Almanza, Anna Cook, Julianne Dewer and Gaby Rios (both for the second consecutive year), Noble Menchaca, Jennifer Tovar, Sixtine Rouyre, Victoria Bosaldu and Lily Yeargins.
In Theatre, Annabeth Barbre won the Shakespeare Competition at PHS last week. She will be representing Paschal at the upcoming regional competition. Congratulations and good luck!
The JROTC program competed in a drill meet at Birdville recently. The Female Color Guard finished fourth out of 19 teams and the Unarmed Drill Team finished third out of 11.
Last Saturday, 14 cadets and three instructors ran in the Cowtown 5K.
On Tuesday, March 26, JROTC will have its Annual Inspection, and April 13 is the Military Ball.
Please note: Boosters are no longer serving 2nd (sophomore lunch) at the 1 p.m. lunch time. Freshman lunch is served every Monday, Wednesday and Friday (12:12 pm) at the concession stand; cost is $5.
PHS spirit football jersey sales are under way, with proceeds benefitting softball.
Attention Senior Parents: If you are not receiving the Paschal Senior (or PHS Senior) News emails, please send your student's name and your email address to Betsy Barbre at email@example.com. Thank you!
