Description:  Learning opportunities extend far beyond the classroom, but it's becoming more difficult for schools to fund trips to museums, historical sites and other cultural destinations. Throughout the year, Target provides education grants to local K-12 schools to support educational field trips.

Eligibility:

* Applicants must be a public charity organized under Internal Revenue Section 501(c)(3) tax exempt code.
* Filed IRS Form 990 or its equivalent must be included in the application in order to be considered in the process. Applications without this information will be rejected.
* Applicants must be a public charity in existence for a minimum of three years.
* All programs must address issues, concerns or opportunities by organizations incorporated and delivering services in the United States

Description:

The mission of the Ray Charles Foundation is to provide grants for scientific, educational, and charitable purposes; to encourage and educate people about the causes and cures for diseases and hearing impaired disabilities; and to assist organizations and institutions in the advancement of their social, educational, and academic programs for youth.

Proposed program must advance the mission of the Foundation in the following program categories:

* Education: May include grants to qualifying institutions whose mission is to provide educational services to disadvantaged and underprivileged youths. Such services may include, but are not limited to, after school programs, academic activities aimed at college preparation for the underprivileged and academic/therapy services for youth who are blind and/or deaf.

* Hearing Disorders: May include grants toward the research and the treatment in the area of hearing disorders and educational programs and resources for youth with hearing disorders.

* Culture and the Arts: May includes grants to qualifying institutions and museums whose mission it is to provide musical, cultural education and access to the arts to underprivileged and disadvantaged youth.

Three types of grants are awarded: capital, program, and core support.

Eligibility: Schools serving all children (including students who learn differently) at the pre-K-12 level that integrate the arts into educational programming are eligible to apply.

 

Maximum Grant Amount: $1,000.00

Description:

The mission of the P. Buckley Moss Foundation for Children's Education is to promote the integration of the arts into all educational programs, with a special focus on children who learn in different ways. The Moss Foundation was created and initially funded in 1995 by the P. Buckley Moss Society, an organization of more than fifteen thousand members worldwide. The society's local chapters use creative fundraisers to support charitable projects within their communities.

 

The foundation is accepting grant applications from educators who need financial assistance to maintain or implement arts education programs in their schools. Grants of up to $1,000 will be awarded in support of new or evolving programs that integrate the arts into educational programming. The purpose of the grant program is to assist teachers who wish to establish an effective learning tool using the arts in teaching children who learn differently.
