Youth, Disabilities, Recreation

Program: National Inclusion Project

Subjects:  Recreation, Sports, Youth Sports, Youth Development, Youth Programs

Geographic Area
: National

Eligibility:

To be eligible for a partnership, your program must be a non-profit or public organization

Maximum Grant Amount:
$10,000.00

Deadline: July 31,2015

Description:

The National Inclusion Project partners with community organizations that are seeking to programmatically open doors for ALL children to learn, live, and play together. Organizations must be committed to do one or more of the following:
* Implement Let's ALL Play.
* Implement inclusive programs aimed at the development of best practices, protocols, and strategies.

Let's ALL Play is the National Inclusion Project's program model for recreational programs that are currently serving children with disabilities and wish to do it better, or programs seeking to open doors currently shut to children with disabilities in their community. Let's ALL Play includes successful modifications, inclusive games, and other information to successfully run a program of inclusion.

Inclusive programs should reach out to children, families, professionals, and volunteers who are working currently or are looking to move into inclusive settings in either educational or recreational fields. Funding is available for programs that advance the mission of the National Inclusion Project, however the project mainly provides its expertise.

Only nonprofit or public organizations are eligible for a partnership. Online inquiries are accepted March through July. Organizations should receive a response within two business days of submission, either inviting them to submit a full proposal or informing them that the inquiry does not fit within the scope of funding. Approved organizations receive the full proposal packet in September, and must submit the full proposal by the deadline.
