Description:

The Specialty Food Foundation, dedicated to hunger relief and food recovery, is accepting letters of inquiry for its next funding cycle. 
The Foundation makes grants to the following types of projects in keeping with the Specialty Food Foundation mission and vision:

* General operating grants
* Project/program support grants
* Innovation grants
* Capacity building grants
* Seed grants

The proposals will be reviewed by Foundation staff and its board of directors, and grants will be awarded in December 2015.

: Good Neighbor Innovative School Grants

Grant Amount: 5,000$

Description: The Good Neighbor Innovation School Grants program, a partnership of Youth Service America (YSA) and State Farm, supports K-12 administrators who want to create a culture of meaningful learning through service in their schools. The program will select 20 K-12 public schools to be recognized as Good Neighbor Innovation Schools. Each selected school will receive a $5,000 grant to support their efforts to authentically engage students during the 2015-2016 academic year by using YSA's school programs, including Semester of Service, Classrooms with a Cause, and Global Youth Service Day. Administrators will also receive travel support to attend a Training Symposium in Washington, DC, as well as ongoing technical support, resources, and networking.Visit the YSA website for details.

Program: Discovering the Outdoors Field Trip Grant

Eligibility: K-12 public, private, parochial, or home schools

Grant Amount:  $250.00 
 

Deadline: June 30 

 

Description: The Indiana Division of State Parks and Reservoirs is offering field trip grants to Indiana educators and their students. This grant program is designed to distribute funds to public, private, parochial, or home school educators interested in taking students on field trips to an Indiana state park or reservoir.

 

Any educator in a school or school district in Indiana from kindergarten to grade 12 may apply for the grant. Educators in home school groups are also eligible. (See application form for minimum number of students required.) Each grant request shall be for one specific trip or combination of multiple visits to an Indiana state park or reservoir, and must include an experience with a full-time or seasonal interpretive naturalist at that site, such as a hike, talk or other scheduled program.
