Description: Scholastic, Inc. through the Scholastic Reading Club is accepting applications to a author James Patterson's special initiative. 

The best-selling author announced that he is donating a total of $1.25 million. Libraries or supporters of libraries can seek donations of $1,000 to $10,000. Scholastic will match each donation with "Bonus Points" that can be used to purchase classroom materials. Requests can be for anything from fixing a computer system to paying for a school reading project. The program will begin with a $250,000 donation, with the remaining $1 million to be distributed throughout the year and additional funding likely in the future.

Description: Classics for Kids Foundation offers matching grants toward the purchase of high quality stringed instruments and mentoring to nonprofit music programs serving young people grades 3-12. CFKF works only with instrument providers that assure the highest craftsmanship, sound, and ease of playing, so that young players gain the fullest benefit with their instrument.

Description: The goal of The Easton Sports Development Foundation is to promote the sport of archery and/or bow hunting and continue these efforts through college and university programs. We want to be a catalyst in the development of archery as a mainstream sport and help it to grow at the state, regional, and national level. Requests for less than $25,000.00 can be submitted at any time.
