Program: 2015 Autism Speaks Baker Summer Camp 

 

Subject: 
Diseases, Disorders, Medical Disciplines, Recreation, Sports, Youth Sports, Youth Development, Youth Programs             

 

Geographic:  National  

 

Eligibility: camps in the United States providing a summer camp program to financially disadvantaged individuals with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder are eligible to apply for a Camp Scholarship Fund through the Autism Speaks Baker Summer Camp Program. 

 

Maximum Grant:  $5,000      

Deadline:  March 13, 2015                    

 

Description: Camps selected to participate in the Camp Scholarship Fund are responsible for selecting Scholarship Campers. A Scholarship Camper has:
1) a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder,
2) is financially disadvantaged, and
3) through camp participation has the opportunity for individual growth and development.

Program: Carton 2 Garden Contest 

 

Subjects: Environmental stewardship, sustainability and living healthy.

Geographic Area: National 

 

Award prizes for building or enhancing winning schools' gardens: Regional awards: 8 each for Elementary & Middle school: $1,000; National awards: 2 each for Elementary & Middle school: $2,500 

      

Deadline: April 22, 2015                                     

 

Description:  

Evergreen Packaging is accepting applications to their Carton 2 Garden program. They want to see your students' creativity in re-purposing milk and juice cartons from the school cafeteria to either build or enhance your school garden.

Twenty (20) schools with the most unique carton creations will be selected on May 22, 2015 to win award packages. Sixteen (16) winners in eight (8) different regions will receive award packages, each valued at over $1,000 and four (4) national winners will be selected to receive award packages, each valued up to $2,500 to start or help sustain a school garden.

Music Educators Award
   
GRAMMY in the Schools: 

Nominations for the 2016 Music Educator Award are now open             


Geographic Area: National

Maximum Award:  $10,000

Deadline:  March 15, 2015

 

Eligibility: Current, full-time educators in the U.S. who teach music in public or private schools. K - College. 

  

Description:

Grammy in the Schools is accepting nominations to their 2016 Music Educator Awards.
  • 10 finalists picked by the GRAMMY Foundation 
  • All finalists will receive a $1,000 honorarium
  • One winner to be recognized for their remarkable impact
  • The winner will be flown to Los Angeles to accept the Award and attend the GRAMMYs, plus pick up a $10,000 honorarium.
Teachers can nominate themselves, but school administrators, students, parents, and colleagues are encouraged to nominate as well.
