A Fresh Air Fund Support Opportunity

The Garden City Community Church Board of Outreach is please to promote the following program:

Are you looking for a way to turn your faith into action? The Fresh Air Fund Friendly Town program needs volunteer families or individuals to host underprivileged New York City children in their homes for one week this summer. The children range in age from 6 to 12 years old and host families may specify the age and gender of their guest. Escorted trip dates to our community are July 18-25 and August 1-8 (other date options are also possible).

Please consider giving a deserving child a change to enjoy the simple pleasures of a vacation away from the hot, crowded city streets. For more information, please contact Pam Rivera at 516-325-80799, 516-567-5138 or email at [email protected] , or the Fresh Air Fund directly at 800-367-0003, website: www.freshair.org

WEDNESDAY NIGHT CHURCH SCHOOL PROGRAM

6:30 pm to 8 pm is the triple D.  Replacing youth group previously held on Sundays we are now offering a get together on Wednesdays.   Dinner and dodgeball this week.  Devo (devotionals) is a little bit of God thrown in.

Let's get the 7th grade together before Confirmation starts in the fall.  The kids will have a fun time - ask any of the current Confirmation class.  They asked for dinner to be a part of the Monday night Confirmation class because of the fun they had with the MS youth group in the prior year.

Please RSVP and we invite the kids and families to the Wed night service at 8 pm.  Come as you are.

Led by Christine Hanson and Chris Dieguiz.
