Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank Continues Tradition of Support for
Anna Jaques with a $250,000 Gift
|
Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank has donated $250,000 to the Birth Center Patient Room Renovation. This gift will help us complete the $1.1 million investment to improve and upgrade all 12 patient rooms to the highest standards to match our outstanding quality of care for our families.
It is through the continued support of the community like this from President & CEO Jan Morse and the bank that Anna Jaques is able to thrive and raise the level of patient care we provide to our patients.
"I am very proud to be affiliated with a hospital that provides such high quality care and exceptional patient experiences. The Birth Center is incredibly important to the families of our community, and the renovation will make the facility as outstanding as its care. I am proud to say I was born at Anna Jaques," said Jan Morse, President & CEO of Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank.
Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank was founded with the purpose of giving children an opportunity to save for their future. This major donation to the Birth Center is a testament to the Bank's commitment to children and families in our community, by helping us provide them with the greatest start possible.
A sign that will read, "AJH Birth Center Given by Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank," will soon be displayed in the Birth Center acknowledging the bank's incredible support.

September is..
National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month
|
Each year, more than 22,000 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer. If detected early, the five-year survival rate is more than 90%. Learn the facts and symptoms and know your family history. Symptoms, though often subtle, include:
- Bloating
- Pelvic or abdominal pain
- Difficulty eating or feeling full quickly
- Urinary urgency or frequency
Other symptoms may include: nausea, indigestion, gas, constipation or diarrhea, extreme fatigue, shortness of breath, or backaches. Talk to your doctor if symptoms last more than 2-3 weeks.
Women's Health Care is pleased to be sponsoring the Greater Newburyport Ovarian Cancer Awareness (GNOCA) 5k Run/Walk in honor of Jackie Poor and Paula Holm on Sunday, September 27th. Festivities kick-off at Michael's Harborside at 10:00am (to register or learn more, click here). The GNOCA's mission is to promote awareness, raise money for cancer research, and support women in our community with ovarian cancer.
