A large number of new friends and supporters continue to join our campaign for Kansas Insurance Commissioner. Our message is receiving amazingly deep and widespread support, from every corner of the state!
Kansans everywhere understand that good business practices can benefit the Kansas Insurance Department. My CPA and insurance credentials and more than 30 years of insurance experience are directly relevant to managing this important state agency.
Thanks again to the many terrific supporters that have enabled our campaign to lead all others in fundraising. We are in an excellent position as we move forward towards the August 5th primary!
Please join us as we work to make Kansas a better place to work and live, for ourselves and for our families!
2014 GOP State Convention
The campaign made many new friends at the GOP Convention in Wichita on Jan 24-25, and had the opportunity to again connect one on one with people who are already supporting the campaign. Our KS for KS cookies and Selzer water were a huge hit with convention attendees!

Meeting Voters Across the State
We continue to travel the state taking our message to a large number of groups. This past week I attended the Rural and Small Agents meeting of the Kansas Association of Independent Agents in Hutchinson, and am pictured here introducing myself to the many agents attending the convention. I also attended the Kansas Small Business Forum in Wyandotte County.
Candidate Forums
We welcome the opportunity to speak at candidate forums in many locations. In January the candidates met in a health insurance agents' sponsored forum in Overland Park and also at the Douglas County GOP sponsored forum in Lawrence. There are several additional forums scheduled for February including in Garden City and Salina. A wonderful response wherever we go!
Attending County GOP Meetings
Since the beginning of the year we have attended GOP meetings in Butler County, Linn County, and Johnson County, and have attended several meetings of the Pachyderm Club in Wichita. We will be attending more GOP meetings around the state this month. It continues to be an honor for me to meet so many great Republicans throughout Kansas.
IN THE COMMUNITY
"Serving All Kansans - Professionally and in the Community"
Even with the campaign's heavy travel schedule, Deb and I remain very active in our community and across the state with many organizations. Congressman Kevin Yoder recently spoke at my Rotary Club, where I will become President on July 1. Deb and I attended a dinner in honor of Darol Rodrock to help raise funds for his foundation to benefit foster children. One of our favorite charities is the Johnson County Christmas Bureau, where both Deb and I volunteered just before the holidays.
Additionally, we continue to support innovation and productivity in our local school district, and provide scholarships for high school and college students as well as for aspiring CPA's across the state.
A BIG THANKS for all YOU are doing in YOUR local communities. Working together we can make Kansas a better place to live!
