Your Support of Our Campaign is Appreciated!

We are so grateful for the many individuals who have supported our campaign to date, but we still need your help. As we plan for getting our message to the voters, we will need funds for television, radio, yard signs and push cards. Please consider helping with a contribution. As an example, a contribution of $50 will buy 175 push cards, $200 will buy 125 yard signs or $500 will buy 30 commercials on radio. I appreciate your consideration and look forward to seeing you on the campaign trail.

Greetings!

October has been a wonderful month for our campaign for Kansas Insurance Commissioner. So many folks are joining our efforts by volunteering as well as hosting receptions, which is a great opportunity for me to meet their friends and family. Deb and I are thankful for the words of encouragement from so many Kansans.

We look forward to continuing to hear from Kansans across the state regarding their insurance questions and thoughts of how we together can make Kansas a great place to live, work, and most importantly, raise our families.

Meeting Kansans

During the month of October, individuals and business leaders have hosted outstanding receptions for our campaign in Wichita, Manhattan, Overland Park, Paola, Kansas City, Salina and Hutchinson. The momentum of the campaign continues to grow. I am so grateful for all of the Kansans who have taking time to attend our receptions, and to share their thoughts and concerns with us.

Active in Kansas Issues

Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of participating in a candidate panel sponsored by the Kansas Association of Independent Insurance Agents. I want to thank the Association, first for the invitation, but more importantly for wanting to share the views of the Kansas Insurance Commissioner candidates with its members.

The Kansas Society of CPA's held educational sessions on the Affordable Care Act throughout the state this month. As a CPA, I know the burden of these overly complex, ever changing statutes and regulations on clients and their families.

Kansas Republican Men's Leadership Series

I am proud to be a graduate of the 2013 Kansas Republican Men's Leadership Series.

The Kansas Republican Men's Leadership Series is designed to provide Kansas with leaders ready to serve as elected or appointed office holders, or on campaigns for Republican candidates.

The series consists of sessions across the state featuring Republican leaders and community leaders who discuss a range of topics important to our state.

Walk to End Alzheimer's

Deb and I and our daughter Mackenzie as well as three of her friends all were in Overland Park, KS to participate in the "Walk to End Alzheimer's."

This event is the nation's largest Alzheimer's Association event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research.
