Steven Anderson, Former KS Budget Director, Joins Campaign Team

Steve Anderson, who recently served as the Kansas Budget Director, joined the Kansans for Selzer statewide Steering Committee, endorsing Ken Selzer, CPA for Kansas Insurance commissioner.

"I am excited to join Ken's statewide Steering Committee for Insurance Commissioner.  We need more elected officials that bring real business solutions to government.  Ken's 31 years of insurance related business experience and as a Certified Public Account will ensure that the citizens of Kansas are well represented in Topeka," said Steve Anderson.

Greetings!

September continued to be a very busy and active month for our campaign for Kansas Insurance Commissioner.  I very much enjoyed meeting so many families, business owners and insurance consumers from all across this wonderful state!

I am a 4th generation Kansan with deep family roots in the central and western rural parts of the state.  My values are yours.  I will represent your values as your Insurance Commissioner.

We have traveled the state many times in September and look forward to continuing to listen to your thoughts and ideas about the Kansas Insurance Department.  The ripple effects of the Commissioner's actions have an impact on almost every Kansan.

Looking forward to seeing you on the campaign trail.

Receptions Across Kansas

We continue to meet so many good Kansans all over this state, including in Larned, Liberal, Garden City, Newton, Wichita, Overland Park, Bucyrus, Stilwell, El Dorado, Leavenworth, Tonganoxie, Topeka, and many other communities.

We have many additional activities planned for October including more receptions, parades, panels, and presentations.  We invite you to join us.  You can find these events on our website at www.KansansforSelzer.com.

We look forward to visiting with you!

"Freedom Shoot" with the Kansas Black Republican Council

Enjoyed participating in the Freedom Shoot with the Kansas Black Republican Council at Ravenwood Lodge near Topeka.

The event had a great turnout with many familiar faces.  We had fun!

Leavenworth GOP Forum on Affordable Care Act

The campaign was in Leavenworth on two separate evenings in September.  The first was a wonderful reception at June's Northland.  On Thursday evening of that same week I participated in the Leavenworth GOP Forum on the Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as ObamaCare.  The video will soon be available on the Leavenworth GOP website.

IN THE COMMUNITY

"Serving All Kansans - Professionally and in the Community"

In each newsletter we feature  one or two of the many community organizations which Deb and I support.

This month I participated as a Sponsor for Kansas Society of CPA's Women to Watch luncheon, which featured CPA's from across the state who were leaders or emerging leaders in the profession and community.  Pictured with me are Leslie Murphy and DeAnn Hill of the AICPA. DeAnn is from Baxter Springs, KS and has been recognized for her leadership in the industry.

Deb and I attended the Holiday of Hope event for the Johnson County Christmas Bureau, which serves low income households during the holiday season. Pictured with Deb and me are Dave and Shannon Doser, and Lori and Eric Lowell.
