THE PREPARATION

The Team Race Spirit prepared a Kawasaki Ultra 300X for this event in their Work Shop located in Uzes, France with new parts developed by our Chief Mechanical Fredo PARAT in collaboration with our partners. This particularly difficult endurance race allowed us to validate their reliability. These parts will be available soon to sale on our online shop Team Race Spirit REDITION.

On an other hand, the pilots had the chance to train in a great quality environment at the Jet Extreme PWC base in Sint-Maarten during January and February.

DAY 2 and 3

The try outs took place on the famous Body Beach in a very satisfying way for the team. During those two days, the Team Race Spirit had the chance to do an amazing photo shoot with the professional photographer Jerome BOLLA for an exclusive article that will soon be available in Jet Pulsion.

We ended up each day in great company with the frenchie and multiple World Champion (16 time), Nicolas RIUS, who now live in Lake Havasu and own a great specialized PWC parts shop, RIUS RACING. We would like to thank him for making us discover a great italian restaurant, La Vita Dolce!!!

THE RACE

The Team Race Spirit presented themselves early on the Crazy Horse Campground on the racing day. The pilots were ready, the temperature was fresh and the sun was out. Jeremy PORET took a great start for the Team Race Spirit.

Depart PORET

Unfortunately, the speed of the Kawasaki was not at his best, which led PORET to pass 13th at the first lap. The strategy previously programmed was to stop after the fourth lap. The loss of turn of the motor forced him to come back to the pit on the second lap. The Team Race Spirit tried to identify and repair the problem in less than 5 minutes but reparation was partial only. A leek of the compressor was not identified at that time and PORET went back in race with a motor performing to 80% of its capacity and a new strategy to refuel in 5 laps.

Reparation du jet lap 2

David CHASSIER took the relay when the conditions on the lake got moving. The difficulty of the navigation for other pilots and his experience in offshore allowed him to pass in front of many teams. At the middle of the race, the conditions of navigation got better. The effective refueling and the pilot's agilities made the Team Race Spirit keep the pace and finish in 3rd position of the Pro Am 4 strokes.
