It's that time of year -- the finish line is near! As students prepare for summer vacation, educators often look for classes to take over the summer months to keep their skills sharp. We have a few opportunities for you to take advantage of in your area! Check out the summer training opportunities section, below.

Do you use 3D printing in your classroom? Would you be willing to share a project idea? If so, your idea may be a part of an upcoming book, for educators by educators. It's an exciting opportunity to show off your creativity in the classroom!

At Moss, summer is anything but a relaxing time -- we are working on developing a new look, new resources, new ways to optimize your classroom. We plan to roll out a new website, a blog and other tools designed just for you! So, let us know -- what would you like to see? Send me an email -- I would love to hear from you!

3D Printing - A Call To Teachers: Expanding a Student's Horizons

You can be a part of this effort to provide teachers with projects that show how 3D printing can be used in the real world.

3D printing plays a growing role in education and makes various concepts easier for students to grasp. However, we know it can be difficult to create 3D printing projects to teach these concepts, especially when teachers are already stretched thin.

Bonnie Roskes, creator of 3DVinci and author of numerous SketchUp tutorials, is compiling a book containing ready-to-use 3D printing projects for instructors. The idea is to show how 3D printing can be incorporated into different subjects: aeronautics, robotics, architecture/urban planning, interior design, etc.

To share your project*, please contact Bonnie Roskes.
Robotics in Math

Do your students understand the need for abstract concepts? No? You're not alone. We have the answer: Introducing the RobotsLAB BOX:

The RobotsLAB BOX is a revolutionary teaching aid demonstrating Algebra I, Algebra II, Physics, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus Core Concepts, using robots.

RobotsLAB BOX moves abstract mathematical concepts away from the white board and transforms them into real life demonstrations. Students can see a quadcopter teach quadratic equations, a rover demonstrate angular and linear concepts conversions, and a robotic arm will show you what the word cosine really means.
