From Kathy's Desk

The 5th annual Christmas Festival and lighted parade is here and would not be possible without the dozens and dozens of volunteers, sponsors and donors. Thank you everyone for continuing this great tradition in Seward County and all of the joy and smiles it will bring to many faces.

The Winter Wonderland had an open house on Thursday and thrilled several children and seniors. It officially opens Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m.; you and your family will not want to miss it.

For a full schedule of all things Christmas happening this weekend and throughout December, please visit the Chamber's website at www.sewardne.com.

There are several Christmas souvenirs available for sale including a new miniature this year. It is of the Santa House and is cute. The annual Christmas ornament is a Santa face and we have special black walking sticks and Seward Christmas Festival medallions for sale. They are all available at the Chamber office, Winter Wonderland and these businesses: Chapters Books and Gifts, Mueri Drug, Allure Fashions, Red Path Gallery, Cattle Bank, Jones Bank, Helmink Printing and Liberty House.

Several downtown merchants are open Thursday nights during this Christmas season and have special promotions planned. Thursday, December 3rd will be a Color Yourself Silly promotion night and includes adult coloring night at Chapters and color coded discounts at Mueri Drug, The Second Closet and Heartspun Flowers and Gifts. Christmas colored snacks will also be provided.

We are happy to welcome new members to the Seward Area Chamber of Commerce - Blue Valley Pet Rescue, Awe Salon and Barber, Kach Investments, Bottle Rocket Brewery, Treat Yourself B&C and Dan's Custom Works. Thank you for your support and investment.

All of us at the Chamber office wish you and your families a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Blessings,

Kathy Evert
