Only 26 days until the 5th Annual Christmas Festival. I'm looking forward to my first Seward Lighted Christmas Parade and thank all of the volunteers who have been working diligently to bring this festival to Seward again this year. Membership Luncheon - Salute to Veterans
All Chamber members and their employees are invited to join us for our Salute to Veteran's membership luncheon on Tuesday, November 10th, at Noon in the Civic Center. We will be in the Civic Center Lower Level and a great hot lunch from SpareTime will be served. Cost is $9. Our guest speakers will be Col. Brett Anderson, the Chief of Staff for the Nebraska Army National Guard, and Jerry Meyer of the Nebraska National Guard Museum. Achieving Successful IntergenerationalCommunication in the Workplace Wednesday, Nov. 18th, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Seward Memorial Library Cost is $10 (cash or check at the door) The Seward County Economic Development Corporation and the Chamber are hosting an education seminar next month. Dr. L.J. McElravy, Assistant Professor, Youth Civic Leadership, Education and Communication at UN-L, will discuss generational differences in the workplace and strategies to navigate the real and perceived difference that exist in organizations. Save the Date! Winter Wonderland Open House Nov. 19th
Winter Wonderland is having a "Preview Open House" on the 19th of November from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All Chamber members are invited and welcome to come and go.
Don't forget the 16th Annual Cattle Classic Basketball Tournament this weekend (Nov. 6-7) at Concordia University. A partnership between Concordia University and The Cattle National Bank where all gate admissions, whether cash or canned food items, go to the Blue Valley Community Action Food Pantry.
