From the Chamber Office
Hello All! Thanks to all who attended our Fourth of July kickoff luncheon. We look forward to another great year in Seward. Last week, the board approved a transition plan for my departure. I will be available for a period of up to 90 days as a consultant to help answer any questions and help get projects finished up. Pat Coldiron and Sharon Hambek will be serving as boots-on-the-ground Co-Interim Executive Directors for a period of up to 90 days while the Board moves toward a more permanent solution. We have created a structured delegation of duties to keep the work of the Chamber moving forward during this time. - Charles

Where's Waldo in Seward
Twenty-one businesses have signed up to participate in "Where's Waldo in Seward" this July. To participate, a business needs to display a 6" Waldo figure in their business from July 1-31, contribute a prize for the drawing, and contribute $50 toward group marketing and a grand prize. Contact chapters@windstream.net if you'd like to be involved. I have four more Waldo figures, available to the first four to request them.
Thanks,
Carla Ketner

They're STILL GOOD!
A few months back, we announced transition plans for phasing out Seward Gift Certificates. Effective June 15, 2015, merchants will no longer be able to include Seward Gift Certificates with their regular deposits at the bank. THESE CERTIFICATES ARE STILL GOOD; they just must be exchanged for the Chamber Bucks that are encoded with account information. Certificate holders or merchants may bring Seward Gift Certificates into the Chamber office for exchange at any time.
