From the Director

Good Day! We hope everyone has enjoyed Martin Luther King Day.

I wanted to thank everyone who helped with or attended our annual Extravaganza. I enjoyed looking back at 2014 and honoring this year's award winners.

Looking ahead to 2015, I wanted to announce our election results. Joe Caldwell (Ridgewood) was elected to a second term on the Board, along with four new members:

Mike Brown (Mike's Fresh Market)

Joel Endorf (Compass Nebraska)

Sue McHugh (Seward Youth Center)

Jeanne K. Wiemer (Red Path Gallery & Tasting Room)

Renee Coufal (Jones Bank) will serve as our 2015 President and Nancy Dolezal (Cattle Bank) will serve as Treasurer. At our Board retreat, members were very excited about strengthening the structure and effectiveness of the Chamber Committees in moving the work of the Chamber forward. We will be taking a realistic look at what we should do and what we can do as we set goals for 2015 and beyond.

The Board gave final approval to our revised mission, vision and values statements, as found below.

Wishing you all the best in the New Year,

Charles

Seward Memorial Library
Travelogue

Come and visit a great big hole with Jack and Lynette Broderick on Sunday, January 25 at 3 p.m. Last summer the Brodericks traveled to Crater Lake National Park which features the deepest lake in the United States. During this one-hour program they will share their adventure in the Northwest.

Escape from our Nebraska winter and discover the wonders of this unique location in Oregon. There will be time for questions followed by refreshments. Everyone is welcome.

Thank you,

Charlotte Baldinger at Seward Memorial Library
