Summer
2012

Greetings!

22reasons had  a very successful school year presenting our humane education seminars in many local area schools. We shared stories about elephants in entertainment, orphaned orangutans in Borneo, Indonesia, and we spoke of the plight of massive numbers of dogs suffering in puppy mills across America.  The students have responded to the education with ACTION - raising money and increasing awareness on behalf of animals. We are inspired by their heart, impressed with their willingness to help, and excited to reach even more students next year!

Kids care about animals and they are excited to stand up for the many that desperately need our help - please contact us to schedule a presentation!

GA Forest Fest

Germantown Academy raised over $4,000 in donations for various rainforest protection groups AND they donated $490 to 22reasons in support of our efforts to raise awareness about the orangutans in Borneo !!!

Re-think your summer fun... All too often people mindlessly choose easy entertainment options without doing much homework on the destination and as a result, leave regretful based on what they witnessed. Here is a list of locations to avoid - please educate yourself on what happens behind the scenes of popular amusement parks and summer destinations. Please be mindful before entertaining your families with animal abuse.
Great Adventure

Six Flags Great Adventure Safari Park - notorious for selling surplus animals to US canned hunts at the end of the season.
We'd like to officially introduce our new club
for kids - age 15years and younger!!!
 Animal Action Hero Club

All of us here at 22reasons adore learning about what children are doing to help animals and we are excited to encourage their aspirations for goodwill so, with that in mind, we've created an Animal Action Hero Club - for children only! As a club member, kids receive points and in turn prizes for actions they take on behalf of animals.

Actions can range from writing a book report on an endangered species, to having a bake sale to raise money for an animal shelter, to a literal action like rescuing a mouse! The best part is it's easy to join AND it's free! Children 15 and under  become members simply by submitting our-line form and telling us their "plan of action." Rules of participation are on page two of the form.

We'd like to thank graphic artist Suzanne Meyer for volunteering to create our fantastic AAH Super Bunny logo which features our very own BUD-DAH BUNNY, one of the original 22rescued rabbits!

Suzanne and Shamus

Suzanne (pictured here with her dog Shamus) freelances her graphic design talents - Meyer Soup Design -from San Diego, CA and even though we've never met in person, we become fast friends, sharing a passion for animal welfare!

THANKS SUZANNE!
