2010 Donations
Last year we donated $5,608 to various animal rescue groups. This figure is a combination of the sum of donations 22reasons made in support of group fundraisers (albeit cash and/or products) as well as the sum of all proceeds from our product sales. I've listed the top four beneficiaries below.
We are incredibly proud to back the efforts of rescue groups and we will continue to connect you with fabulous people who are helping animals!
www.rabbit.org $1,185
www.pawsweb.org $975
www.savethechimps.org $990
www.phillypaws.org $350
Thank YOU for making this possible!

New Seminar
Gromek's Story: Lessons on Chimpanzees in Captivity
| GROMEK |
We are very excited about our new seminar on chimpanzees. After volunteering with my Mom at 'Save the Chimps' sanctuary in Ft. Pierce, FL I am anxious to share the stories of the chimps who are living there. Rescued from research, entertainment and the pet trade, these chimps finally have a life with freedom and the pleasure of living in large family groups.
I believe it is important to take a look at what we, as a society, have done to these wild animals and ask ourselves how we can improve their lives. Be sure to visit www.savethechimps.org as they are the largest chimpanzee sanctuary in the world, caring for close to 300 residents!
Please contact us if you are interested in having me present this seminar. Our website offers more details on each of the HUMANE EDUCATION SEMINARS that we offer. |

22reasons' Board Members
Sander Coxe > Sander and I are longtime buds from High School and we share a passion for animals. He and his wife Susan have rescued parrots for well over a decade and try to provide a royal lifestyle for them. Sander is the Marketing Director at a prominent litigation boutique in NYC and he has generously given his time to help to take 22reasons to the next level. He and another colleague from the legal marketing world, fellow board member Dalia El-Newehy, helped to create the new website which is beyond my wildest dreams! Sander's value to this project is immeasurable and his innate loving nature is exactly what I want to include on this team.
Dalia El-Newehy > Dalia is the Marketing Coordinator for a Manhattan law firm and she has (with minimal input from me and Sander) largely created our glorious website and cool new logo out of thin air! She is a self-taught design mastermind with tangible kindness ooozing from her voice. We've only met over the phone and through our conversations, I have learned that a gentler, more gracious and caring spirit you will not find!! Dahlias are my favorite flowers and I envision one every time we have an exchange! She loves animals and she has generously given her free time to 22 reasons.
Marianne Bessey > Marianne and I met protesting a Ringling circus in 2006 and we have teamed up on various occasions ever since - usually on behalf of the elephants in the Philadelphia Zoo whom Marianne has committed to helping since 2004. Marianne presents the elephant seminar with me and her years of experience and knowledge about captive and wild elephants has been a huge component of our success. She is a lawyer employed by a large firm in Philadelphia and her knowledge of civil rights and animal rights has served us well on more than one occasion. Marianne is founder of the grassroots group 'Animals Activists of Philly' and she has started numerous campaigns on behalf of animals here in Philadelphia. She is Vegan and she has four adorable rescued dogs. Marianne is a thinker and a doer. Give her time to think about something and she inevitably comes up with a brilliant idea of what to do. 22reasons will thrive with her involvement.
Liz Bentley > Liz and I grew up going to the same lake in the Adirondacks - we both love to discuss random topics for hours on the dock or in front of a campfire. She has encouraged all of my pursuits and she is our greatest distributor of 22reasons products! Liz is an executive coach. She works with individuals, teams and corporations of all sizes in the New York area. She is the mother of 3 amazing children, wife of a wonderful man named Chris and caretaker of 2 very cool dogs. Liz offers an intelligent, straight-forward opinion, and valuable insight from years of participating in various high ranking business positions. I believe she is a much needed sounding board for our progress and success.
Gigi Glendinning > If you'd like to know more about me then, thanks to my insistant board of directors, there is a whole page you can read on our website. |

2 Rabbits Join the Group!
Twixie joined us at the end of January and she is simply the cutest little fluffernutter who brings a smile to my face every day! Twixie was rescued from an animal shelter in 2008 to live with another Lion Head rabbit named Simba. Unfortunately Simba passed away, and Twixie's family felt her loneliness so they brought her here for some companionship. She is thrilled, happily hopping (or zooming really) around with Cinnabun and the new man on campus know as MR BUN!

 | MR BUN |
MR BUN (aka:Chazz) joined us in March and because he is the most mellow rabbit I have ever met, Cinnabun and Twixie did not skip a beat when I added him to their yard. MR BUN and his brother Jimmy were part of the original group rescued in 2007. Jimmy died last year and MR BUN's family wanted him to have friends again. We are happy to have him and given all the flip kicks he exhibites, I am guessing he is happy to be here too! |
