Greetings!
What a day! The skies were dreary and overcast, but this year's sell-out Annual Golf Tournament was a great success. More than 140 alumni and Serra supporters spent the day golfing at Peninsula Golf & Country Club.

This year, we raised more than $30,000 for the Alumni Scholarship Fund. The total of this account is about $300,000. Thank you to all of our participants and sponsors!  Without you, this event would not be as successful as it is.

Wishing you all the best this summer!

Sincerely,

Serra Padres Make a Difference
Serra Padres will be making a difference this summer in Lourdes, France, and Watsonville, California.

At the Catholic holy site of Lourdes, students will assist people with serious medical conditions, many of whom are terminally ill.

In Watsonville, Padres will work on a raspberry farm with migrant farm workers and assist at Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry and Kitchen.

"It's an honor to be able to help lead the trip to Watsonville again," said Jonathan Allen '01, who will lead this trip for the third summer in a row. "Our students learn a tremendous amount about the farming community, about agriculture and about faith. Our immersion program gives our students a chance to experience life outside of Serra and the Bay Area. Farming is hard work, and our Padres have stepped up and shown that they are not afraid to work with their hands. They fully immerse themselves in this experience. Students have come back from this trip with a new outlook on life, a deepened faith, and an experience that they will never forget."

Other service trips this year have included Tri-School immersion trips with students from Mercy and Notre Dame to Appalachia and Salinas.
