HOSA Fall Leadership Reflection
|
"Fall leadership was a phenomenal experience. I feel truly blessed to be part of such an amazing organization. Working with other state officers and our State advisory committee always proves to be a blast. I want to thank Blue Springs South and Warrenton High School for hosting our conferences. I also wanted to thank our Advisory Committee for all that they do for our Missouri HOSA Organization. "
-Allie Gibson, Missouri HOSA State President

Newtown-Harris HOSA students and state officers Ben Henry and Allie Gibson

"Fall leadership conference was an amazing experience. Getting to meet HOSA members from across the state is such a treat. It was inspiring to me to see everyone come together as one and share the same interests. There is no doubt that Missouri HOSA is the "Show Me State" when it comes to future healthcare professionals. A big thank you goes out to Blue Springs South and Warrenton for hosting our conferences. I hope to see everyone at state competition in Rolla. It is going to be a blast."
- Ben Henry, Missouri HOSA State Historian
"I always stand in amazement when we attend fall leadership conference. Watching these young people who are so driven and full of passion in pursing their dreams of becoming healthcare professionals is inspiring. Of course I always enjoy watching my students "shine". I am so proud to be a part of our Missouri State HOSA organization."
-Michelle McLaughlin, Newtown-Harris High School HOSA Advisor

NEMO AHEC is participating in a National AHEC Organization (NAO) HPV Immunization Project. This project is to provide education to health professionals regarding the HPV vaccine.
Through a cooperative agreement between the NAO and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the goal is to strengthen HPV vaccination recommendations, resulting in a decrease in missed opportunities to vaccinate adolescents.
The training,"You Are The Key to HPV Cancer Prevention", provides health professionals with information and real answers to questions parents have about HPV immunizations. (CME credit is available.)
