How to Shadow a Doctor

Most students interested in health professions have heard about shadowing, but it remains mysterious.

Take a look at what Student Doctor Thompson (a student from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine) has to say about his experiences and recommendations:

Some facilities will only allow shadowing if the participant is over 16 or even 18, but don't give up! Take Student Doctor Thompson's advice and talk to relatives or get your foot in the door by volunteering!

If you are interested in shadowing in the Kirksville area, contact Dinah Coles at the NEMO AHEC office, dcoles@nemoahec.org.
