Health Insurance Marketplace 
"What Health Professionals Need to Know"

This FREE training will cover the goals of the Affordable Care Act including rules governing new health plans, federal assistance to help individuals pay for Qualified Health Plans, and how consumers can access coverage.

 

The presentation will help you become comfortable with jargon relating to the new
health care law and will enable you to better serve patients/clients with questions about the law.

 

Program objectives will provide a general understanding of:  
· Brief overview of the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid and CHIP
· Qualified Health Plans
· Eligibility for Financial Assistance
· Important Enrollment Dates
· Small Business and the Marketplace
· Resources Available

 

Continuing Education Credit
1.2 hours of CEUs are available for physicians, nurses, social workers, marriage counselors and family therapists for completing a post test online (a study guide will be provided at the training and by request). At no cost to you.

Agency Spotlight

 

The purpose of the Northeast Missouri Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is to plan, coordinate, and fund a network of services for older persons throughout our sixteen county service area.  Funding is provided under the amended Older Americans Act of 1965 and administered by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Division of Senior and Disability Services.

 

NEMO AAA programs and services are available for anyone age 60 and older who lives in the counties of Adair, Macon, Ralls, Warren, Clark, Marion, Randolph, Knox, Monroe, Lewis, Montgomery, Scotland, Lincoln, Pike, Schuyler and Shelby.
