Michael A. Creedon, DSW
Creedon is chair of A.T. Still University's Aging Studies Project. He also serves as a visiting professor of social work and gerontology at the National University of Ireland in Cork, Ireland, and president of The Creedon Group in Vienna, Va. He earned his DSW from the University of Maryland, MSW from Virginia Commonwealth University, and BA in philosophy and theology from All Hallows College, Dublin, Ireland.
Creedon has provided retirement and mid-career training for workers since 1979, addressing staff at The World Bank, Intelsat, People's Bank of Connecticut, GMAC, General Motors, PepsiCo, and many other companies. He is currently retirement lecturer for the US State Department, The Library
of Congress, The White House, the Office of Controller of the Currency, and other federal organizations.
Creedon is a member of the Gerontological Society of America, Age Action Ireland, and Human Factors and Ergonomics Society. Additionally, he is a board member for the Ireland Educational Foundation. He has authored and edited several publications, articles, and reports regarding aging, elder care, and education.

Dale Schenewerk, BS, MBA
Schenewerk is a financial advisor with Ameriprise Financial Services, with offices in Kirksville and Mexico, MO. He has provided financial planning services to individuals and small business owners since joining Ameriprise in 1996. Prior to that, Schenewerk was the Chief Advancement Officer at Truman State University, overseeing the University's fundraising, alumni relations and public relations programs.
As an advisor, Schenewerk holds the following licenses: Series 7, Series 63, Series 24, Series 51 and Series 4, as well as a state insurance license for life, health and variable products. He is licensed to do business in 12 states.
Schenewerk has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Truman State University and an MBA from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
His community involvement activities include being past president and Board member of the Kirksville Rotary Club, past Drive Chair and Board member of the United Way of Adair County, past president and Board member of the Westminster College Parents Association, and Finance Council member and past Parish Council member for Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Kirksville.

The Legal Aspects of Retirement

Lori A. Gregory, JD
Gregory, a member of the law firm Lewis, Rice and Fingersh, LC, Kansas City, Mo., was born and raised in Kirksville. Her practice focuses in the equally important areas of estate planning and elder law. She routinely assists clients with basic and complex estate and estate tax planning matters, as well as helping clients navigate a course for long term care and available VA and Medicaid sources of payment for themselves.
Much of Gregory's 26-year practice has been devoted to estate and trust planning and administration; representing family and/or closely held businesses; estate and income taxation and estate and trust litigation; Elderlaw (i.e. Medicaid & VA Benefit planning, special needs trusts, guardianships/ conservatorships, and nursing home rights); estate and trust litigation; prenuptial agreements and adoption. She routinely designs, plans and implements sophisticated estate tax savings vehicles such as family partnerships, insurance trusts, charitable trusts, children's/ grandchildren's gifting trusts, sales to intentionally defective grantor trusts, and qualified personal residence trusts
Gregory is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and various other professional organizations.

Speaker: Joseph Flaherty, MD
Dr. Flaherty is a professor of medicine at Saint Louis University and is also the Assistant Program Director for the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship program.
ATSU's Aging Studies Project is an university-wide program with a mandate for community outreach to elders and service agencies. The project's goal is to bring students into direct contact with community-based elders, expand learning resources for students and community members, and provide opportunities for interdisciplinary clinical interaction to strengthen student capacity for the interprofessional teamwork needed in healthcare, especially for geriatric care.
