DAT Preparatory Course $100 Discount  

The University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Dentistry has released their on-demand DAT Prep Course for pre-dental students across the country.  This course is designed to sharpen a student's test-taking skills and their knowledge in the subject areas tested on the DAT, specifically biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry and math.

The registration fee to participate for in-state students is $395.00 with the In-State Discount Code.  (Regular price is $495.)

Dental Workshop, January 12

A free Dental Workshop for high school seniors and undergraduates interested in dental health careers will be held Saturday, January 12, 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM Lunch will be provided. 

 

All activities will be held at the NEMO Dental Clinic, 402 W. Jefferson, Kirksville.

 

Highlights include: 

     * Dental career information 

     * Dental school experience - Arizona School of
          Dentistry & Oral Health 

     * National Health Service Corps 

     * Hands-on in dental clinic 

         - X-rays/intraoral pictures 

         - Alginate impressions 

         - Stone pour ups of impressions

The fall has been busy with Charter signings and installation of officers at four schools for new Health  Occupations Students of America health career clubs. 

Students in Green City, Knox County, Newtown-Harris and South Shelby High Schools now have opportunities to expand their interests in healthcare careers.

Medical Explorations in Science & Anatomy
M.E.S.A. is an interactive distance learning series
providing a hands-on educational opportunity to enhance skills and to academically prepare and motivate high school students who are interested in healthcare careers.

"Food Loops" - January 29, 4:30-7:00 PM 
An exploration of digestive tract as students follow a bite of food through the mouth, esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines. A mink specimen will be dissected to demonstrate this pathway.

"It's All in Your HEAD" - March 7, 4:30-7:00 PM  
The anatomical structures of the mouth and cranial nerves will be investigated by using replicas and models of the human face and skull.

Kirksville workshops will be held:  LIVE! at A. T. Still University-Microbiology Lab, 800 W. Jefferson Street
