Fishbowl Community Conversations
To augment winter Thoughtexchange online conversations, the school board is hosting face-to-face conversations in April and May.

What IS a fishbowl conversation? According to multiple sources, fishbowl meetings can vary, but all have a common purpose - that is to engage all participants in a conversation and thus gather varying perspectives on a topic.

On three Tuesdays in April and May, Cascade High, Henry M. Jackson High and then Everett High will be fishbowl conversation sites from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each evening. The topics for those three evenings are school facilities and school technology. Click on the links below to register.

April 28, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Cascade High School cafeteria

May 5, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Henry M. Jackson High annex

May 19, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Everett High School cafeteria

What did your neighbors have to say? Thoughtexchange announcement
In winter 2015, we invited you to Join the Conversation and share your thoughts with Thoughtexchange about what the district and our 26 schools are doing well, where we can improve and what we might be missing.

The districtwide results are rich with thousands of thoughts and stars you and your neighbors shared. You can also see individual school results to get a sense of the shared values and priorities at each school.

If you're one of the thousands of parents, staff, students and community members who Joined the Conversation, thank you for your time and thoughtful participation. If you missed the winter 2015 process, we will launch another in fall 2015. Click on image for results.

Everett High School students save a life

Hailey Enick and Jasmine Daniels, two ninth-graders from Everett High, use CPR lessons they learned in health class to save a man's life.

The Medic One Foundation serves all of our high schools and brings CPR volunteers into the schools to teach kids CPR as part of their health classes. Mr. Olson's classroom was one of those classrooms in which Hailey and Jasmine learned the technique.
