The school board will meet in regular session on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the board room at the Community Resource Center.

Meeting agenda highlights:

  • Item 9.01 State of the Schools Review Analysis  In this 75-minute agenda item, attendees can see the tight connection between the district-level strategic plan and how that plan drives actions and resources directly to support each child's learning. This discussion and information factor in the school board's 2015-16 budget-setting processes that have been underway for weeks and continue through July. 
  • Item 10.03 No Child Left Behind's Sanctions for Title I Schools Not Meeting Adequate Yearly Progress What does this mean for district schools? What is AYP, NCLB, waiver, not-waiver, AMO, Priority School, Focus School, revised school accountability index, TPEP? What do they have in common, and how are they in conflict, and what do they have to do with helping each child learn?

When does the school board meet?
