The school board will meet in regular session on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the board room at the Community Resource Center

March 11 agenda items of note:
  • Progress report on the district's math curriculum implementation
  • Resolution 1081 -- authorizing the board to support April 22, 2014 Capital Bond  
  • Resolution 1082 -- authorizing the superintendent to refinance 2006 and 2007 bonds at a reduced interest rate, with a potential savings to taxpayers of $2.7 million. Last October, the board authorized bond refinancing which saved $1.7 million.

March 10 - 14 is Classified Employees Week!

On March 11, the school board will recognize district education heroes "behind the scenes" and share Governor Inslee's Proclamation honoring these heroes across the state.
Sequoia High School helps save lives

Twenty-nine pints of blood drawn at the school's drive were from new donors -- not only helping others in need, but starting a new, life-long habit to continue that help over the years.
