Marathon Weekend Recap 
The 2014 Liver Life Challenge team did a great job at the 2014 TCS NYC Marathon on November 2. The team was comprised of 17 members who collectively raised over $65,000 for the foundation through their efforts. Meet our marathon team members! 

The Marathon Weekend kicked off with Brunch for our runners. Brunch was donated by liver transplant recipient, Gary Egan at Pete's Tavern. Read More...  

 

Live Program:
Trends in Hepatitis C Treatment   

On Tuesday, November 18 the Greater New York Division is partnering with Westchester Medical Center and New York Medical College to host a Trends in Hepatitis C Treatment program at the Skyline Auditorium located at 19 Skyline Drive; Hawthorne, NY 10532 (Westchester County). The program, from 5:30PM-7:30PM, will help to boost education and awareness regarding the diagnosis and treatment of hepatitis C. 

 

The program will include presentations from physicians who will share their experience and expertise in discussing the newest treatments for hepatitis C, followed by a question and answer session. Read More...

Patient Profile:  

Aiden Simms  

Aiden was born with a rare liver disease called Ornithine Transcarbamylase (OTC) Deficiency. He is only three and half years old and has underwent two liver transplants in 2013. Aiden's family is very grateful to the donor families and he's excited to go to school, just like his big brother.

Educational Programs

This October the LGBT Center of New York welcomed our Community Outreach and Education Manager, Paul Bolter to their monthly Speaker Spotlight Series. Paul provided an educational program on Viral Hepatitis for 43 staff!
