Here are ten life lessons I've picked up through the years - I'm sure you could add many more. Share your list with someone and learn from theirs.
- Marry someone who shares your values - you can work through a lot of life's circumstances if you are seeing things from the same general perspective
- Work is good - work hard whether you are doing what you love or doing what you must to pay the bills
- Use money as an expression of your values - invest in people, memories, the future, and organizations in which you believe
- Be generous - don't hesitate to give things away; you don't always need the tax deduction
- Free may not be cheap enough - no matter how cheap (including free), something you won't use or don't really want isn't worth acquiring
- Don't let things fester - try to make peace before things escalate and become more difficult to solve
- Laugh - at yourself, at life, with others, often
- Never forget that sin has a way of being uncovered
- Be free to be yourself and then extend that freedom to others
- The only real control is self-control; you do have lots of influence - use it wisely
Remember: Life is a journey to be savored! |
