Dear Provider,

In partnership with Arizona Department of Health Services/Division of Behavioral Health Services (ADHS/DBHS), Magellan Learning and Performance is announcing the next Cultural Competency 101: Embracing Diversity Training of the Trainer (TOT) to be held on February 20-21, 2014.

ADHS/DBHS has outlined specific qualifications to ensure the fidelity of the content for all Regional Behavioral Health Authorities (RBHAs). Cultural Competency 101: Embracing Diversity TOT sessions will be limited to five participants each. Magellan will identify the TOT participants through an application and selection process.

Priority will be given to agencies that can support system needs as it relates to frequency and capacity to sustain a minimum of 10 students per session. In order to be eligible to facilitate the new content, one must: 1) Attend one regularly scheduled training session for Cultural Competency 101: Embracing Diversity prior to attending the TOT; 2) Attend a TOT hosted by a Master Trainer; 3) Complete necessary co-facilitation and observation requirements; 4) Be endorsed by the Master Trainer and approved by ADHS/DBHS to become a Lead Instructor.
