The Arizona Department of Health Services/Division of Behavioral Health Services (ADHS/DBHS) has announced that effective October 15, 2013, the information contained in Provider Manual section PM 8.5, Medical Care Evaluation Studies and ADHS/DBHS Policy & Procedures Manual Section QM 2.1, Medical Care Evaluation Studies is no longer applicable to T/RBHA's and their contracted providers. These policy sections have been removed. Please take some time to review the Revision Notice Matrices for these changes linked below:
Although Magellan will no longer track provider MCE studies, providers are still responsible for fulfilling all other individual State or Federal contract requirements they may have with regard to these studies i.e., CMS.
