Hotlines/Website Established Following Loss of 19 Firefighters in Yarnell Hill Fire to help Arizonans process grief

In response to the loss of 19 firefighters in the Yarnell Hill fire on Sunday, Magellan Health Services of Arizona has partnered with the Crisis Response Network to activate two 24-hour hotlines and a website to help citizens, and members of the Fire Service and their families process feelings of grief, sorrow and depression.

- Arizona residents can call the Tragedy Support Hotline at 1-800-203-CARES (2273)

- Members of the Fire Service and their families are encouraged to call the FireStrong Hotline at 602-845-FIRE (3473) to connect with a crisis response professional. FireStrong.org is an online resource for members of the Fire Service and their families

Both hotlines are staffed with behavioral health professionals to offer counseling services to individuals seeking support. ...read more.

AHCCCS Launches Medicaid Restoration Website

In her state of the state speech in January, Governor Brewer called for the legislature to adopt her Medicaid Restoration Plan to restore Proposition 204 coverage and include coverage for adults from 100% to 133% FPL. On June 17, 2013, the Restoration Plan was signed into law, providing coverage to over 300,000 Arizonans, beginning January 1, 2014.

Today, AHCCCS has rolled out Medicaid Moving Forward, a new webpage that will be a source of information regarding the implementation of Restoration. Medicaid Moving Forward will include information on Medicaid, KidsCare and the Public Input Process. There is also information about Federal Guidance received from CMS. The new webpage can be located HERE

If you have questions or comments pertaining to Medicaid Moving Forward, please email [email protected].
