It's been a busy start of the year and this is what we've been up to so far...
WALK FOR MEMORIES - Saturday, January 25
This year, six Divas - Gail, Karen, Gerine, Judi, Andrea and Marcia - and their friends - Mary and Carla - joined over 1,200 volunteers, walkers and sponsors to participate in the 24th annual Manulife "Walk for Memories". This event raised almost $ 600,000 for the Alzheimer Society of Toronto.
With these funds, Alzheimer Toronto will be able to continue to provide meaningful programs and services to those living with Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias.
NASMM CONFERENCE - February 22 - 25
In other DIVA news, our bags are packed and we're almost ready to go to the Annual NASMM - National Association of Senior Move Managers - Conference in San Diego. The weather has got to be better than here!
At Conference, we will have a opportunity to meet with colleagues and friends to share tips, tricks and techniques and learn how others are working across Canada and the US. There will be lots of learning, laughs and libations too!
Six Divas will be attending this year's Conference - Gail, Karen, Judi, Gerine, (Toronto Southwest), Shirley (Markham) and Cathy (Victoria, BC). Watch out San Diego - the purple feathers will be flyin'.

We are bringing together experts in the field, including TEEPA SNOW, a dementia education specialist, to educate and inform all dedicated family caregivers who attend this show.
Admission is FREE, but you must sign up online to obtain a "pass".
