Happy Thanksgiving!

So, here we are at the beginning of autumn!

Which means that it is time for Thanksgiving and Hallowe'en, falling leaves and warm sweaters and the opportunity to "declare" autumn, and replace the cool, cottony clothes in your closet with warmer, wooly outfits!

October is a time to be thankful and, at Downsizing Diva, we certainly are thankful for all sorts of reasons including:

  • Our wonderful partnership with Metroland Media and Alzheimer Toronto and a unique event "WHO CARES? A Resource Day for Caregivers" that we are hosting in May 2014.
  • Being named Downsizing Experts on ZOOMER Radio's "From a Woman's Perspective" with Marilyn Wetston (Saturday mornings from 8 to 9).
  • Our incredible Downsizing Diva Team now with 15 Franchise Locations - 14 of them in Ontario and 1 in Victoria, BC!
  • All of the fabulous clients we have had the pleasure of working with over the past 12 years!
  • The best people anyone could ever put in one place...our Toronto East/North York Diva Team!

DIVA CHALLENGE...

Last month, we had a folksy newsletter that did not include a Diva Challenge. So, with the cooler, crisper weather upon us, your challenge this month is to officially declare "AUTUMN" and change-over your wardrobe.

Here are SEVEN easy Diva steps:

  1. Remove all warm weather clothes from closets and drawers.
  2. Donate all items that have not been worn this past season.
  3. Make sure clothes you are keeping are clean and repaired.
  4. Move these clothes to another closet (if you have lots of space) OR to the back of your closet or under the bed.
  5. Retrieve all of your autumn/winter clothes.
  6. Try everything on before putting items on hangers/in drawers.
  7. Organize your closet by hanging items you wear frequently right in front of you as you face the closet.

Thought for October:

Be thankful for what you have;

you will end up having more.

If you concentrate on what you don't have,

you will never, ever have enough.

-- Oprah Winfrey
