News of Note:


1.  The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Regulation: In December, OMB issued a regulation (2 CFR Part 200) that supersedes and streamlines requirements from various OMB circulars - Circulars A-21, A-87, A-110, and A-122 (which have been placed in OMB guidances); Circulars A-89, A-102, and A-133; and the guidance in Circular A-50 on Single Audit Act follow-up. 

2.  HUD re-submitted to OMB the proposed revised FHA multifamily loan documents to allow an additional 30 days of public comment before HUD finalizes them for the next 3 years. See also the documents with redlines.  

   

3.  Read the testimony of HUD Sec. Donovan before the House Appropriations Committee oversight hearing on public housing and Section 8 on April 2, 2014, which illustrates HUD priorities for FY2015.

 

4.  George L. Weidenfeller will be speaking on the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) on April 10th at the 2014 Urban Land Institute Spring Meeting in Vancouver, British Columbia.

 

5.  Stephen I. Holmquist spoke on RAD at the Affordable Housing Investors Council on April 3, 2014.
