HUD and DOT's Location Affordability Portal can be used to calculate the cost of housing and transportation in various locations.

HUD's Qualified Census Tracts and Difficult Development Areas: Includes information on 2014 metropolitan and non-metropolitan designated development areas (DDAs) for Housing Credit projects, which are eligible to receive up to a 30 percent higher Housing Credit allocation.     
  
4.  Subsidy Processing for CY2014: HUD posted a revised submission schedule

Advises of the reduction of the Exclusive Listing Period from 30 calendar days to 15 calendar days for HUD REO properties marketed as "Insured" or "Insured with Escrow." The Exclusive Listing Period for HUD REO properties marketed as "Uninsured" remains at 5 calendar days. In addition, this Notice explains when bids received on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays will be opened and reviewed.
