News of Note:


1.  HUD, DOJ release New Guidance on "Design and Construction" requirements under the Fair Housing Act, reinforcing the Act's requirement that multifamily housing be designed and constructed to allow access for persons with disabilities. 

2.  HUD issued a Notice of Intent to Change the Operating Model of the Office of Multifamily Housing by consolidating 6 Headquarters offices into 4 and 17 Hub offices to 5 Hub offices and 5 satellite offices reporting to the Hubs. The other 7 Hubs and 34 program centers will be consolidated into the remaining 10 offices (5 Hubs and 5 satellite offices). The 2 existing property disposition centers will be consolidated into one.  

3.  The FHA Section 232 Healthcare Facility Insurance Program: strengthening accountability and regulatory revisions update Final Rule Amendment
-revision of date of applicability.
