News of Note:

1. HUD has made the first round of Rental Assistance Demonstration awards.

Please see these links for a Summary and the RAD Awards List.

The Ongoing Application Period for public housing is still open, which will review

applications on a first-come, first-serve basis (click for information regarding

application materials).

HUD has also been accepting requests on a rolling basis for conversions under the

Second Component of RAD, which is open to Rent Supplement (Rent Supp),

Rental Assistance Payment (RAP), and Mod Rehab properties.

2. HUD is requesting public comments on the Public Housing Operating Budget,

Supporting and Related Forms to be used by PHAs which must submit their

Operating Budgets to HUD. Comments are due January 17, 2013.
